Repairable Forestry Tires
Before & After
Most large forestry repairs are done
for less than $200.
Below are passenger tires that we can
repair. Click to enlarge pictures.

Most passenger tires have a maximum
repair size of 1/2" WIDE, see above.
Wide meaning...going same direction as the tread.
The length can be much longer, depending on the width.
Length meaning...going from bead towards the tread.
This is true for measuring RADIAL tires only.
BIAS tires are measured differently. If you have a bias tire the direction
of the repair does not matter. To determine if the tire is repairable we
just need the overall length of the injury. In larger bias tires the
injury can be several inches in length. The size of a repairable cut will
depend on the size and ply of the tire.
If you are interested in getting a tire repaired it is necessary
to first determine whether or not it is worth repairing. In radial tires the
support cords run from bead to bead. If the break cuts too many cords the tire
will not be repairable. An average sidewall repair in a passenger or light truck tire is
about $20-$35. If you decide to ship the tire the cost is usually $15-$30 each
way.

Here is a Michelin OTR tire with a very common sidewall cracking problem.
If left unrepaired the tire will eventually begin to leak. We can repair
these cuts and save more expensive repairs at inconvenient times. If the
tire does develop a leak we can fix that too.
